Sushi Date Night.

(Please excuse the low-light iPhone photos... I forgot my camera :( Also, my eyes are closed in the second picture??? Good going, Hanna)

Last night Nick and I went out for our first date in 3 1/2 months! We didn't get to spend his February 26th birthday together, so we decided to go out and celebrate, even if it was belated. It also served as a way to celebrate everything else that we missed out on together, like my graduation and Valentine's Day. It was a celebration of all of that, but also a celebration that we are reunited for good and are officially getting to start our lives together :)

To celebrate properly, we went to Fuji, a Japanese steakhouse here in Decatur (and one of the nicer places in town). Nick loves sushi, and thanks to him, I do too! If it weren't for him I don't know if I ever would have tried sushi, but our first date ever was at a sushi restaurant back home in Salem. I still wasn't too sure about it then, but after a few more sushi outings, I grew to love it.
We went all out, with miso soup, edamame, and two special rolls. We were still craving some sushi, so we decided to get just one more roll since we were celebrating. To our surprise, it was the biggest roll yet of 10 pieces! And it was deep-fried. Perfection. We buckled down and finished the whole thing and were stuffed to the brim but it was so worth it. We also know which special rolls we really like for next time, since we tried 3 different ones! And there will be a next time. In fact, there will be many next times, because we decided that we are going to have at least one sushi date-night a month :)

The night ended perfectly with PJs, a homemade berry crisp with vanilla bean ice cream (his favorite dessert), and HP 7 part 2.
We passed out at 11:45 (technically 10:45 because of the time change), which was the earliest I've gone to bed in a while!

I'm so happy we both have today off to spend more time together before the work-week begins for us both!
