I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween! I spent it at work, and it was dead. Buuut it was fun to see the kids walking around the mall trick-or-treating - there were some seriously cute costumes! We were supposed to hand out candy from 5-7, but all of ours was gone by 6! I was a little bummed because, hey, I wanted some candy, too, but thankfully the coupons we have been handing out are literally chocolate bars, so I ate about a million of those. Woops!
I love October, because Fall officially arrives, but Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. It's fun to get dressed up, but as I mentioned in my post earlier this week, I normally don't get super into it. October was great, but I'm excited that it's November! Wait, when did that happen? I love November as well - in fact, I love all of winter, but for me, this is when the holiday season begins! The chilly temperatures have finally settled in here in Decatur, and I absolutely love it! I know, I'm weird. Fall is in full swing, so I can keep my autumn decorations up and bake endless amounts of Christmas goodies, but it's now acceptable (at least, to me) to start thinking of Christmas shopping and maybe listening to a few Christmas songs here and there ;) I'm also excited because our SUPER AWESOME HOLIDAY COLLECTION COMES OUT. November 15th, to be exact! It's called "Black Tie" and is literally just a party of a floorset. Sequins EVERYWHERE. Including THESE beautiful babies I tried on the other day:
What are those you ask???? Well, my friend, those are black sequin pants. OBSESSED OVER HERE. Obviously this picture doesn't show you all of their glory, but I can tell you, they are amazing. See, this is why the holidays are the best - it's totally acceptable for you to wear sequin pants. In fact, it's pretty much acceptable for you to wear sequins everywhere, because it's HOLIDAY. Woot! We have to wear all black on the weekends during holiday, so that is how I am justifying buying these. And because, duh, it's festive.
ALSO. I am excited this morning because there may be some developments in the whole going-home-for-Christmas thing.... buuuuut I'm not saying anything yet because nothing is set in stone.
Ta-ta for now, and cheers to November!
P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It's been a week packed full of work, and all I can focus on right now is the fact that Nick and I are going to Chicago tomorrow for the weekend! We're staying with my lovely friend Jordan, checking out schools for Nick, and just enjoying the city! I seriously need it.
