3-D movie! |
The 4th of July was pretty good for me. I got to sleep in, called into work but didn't have to go in, got a chance to work out, and grilled out at Andrew's. We were planning on continuing the celebration at Donnie's Homespun Pizza (they have Rogue on tap), but instead got sidetracked by all of the music laying on Andrew's floor, and in true music nerd (especially choir nerd) fashion, we started sightreading! It was so much fun. Yes, I know, that does not sound fun to most, but for us, it was great. We haven't sang in a group in awhile, especially for the boys, since they graduated last Spring. I at least got to sing with U-Choir this past Spring! Needless to say, we miss it, and it's fun to sing with other great singers.
We didn't really know where fireworks were happening, and we'd been wanting to see a movie, so we decided to go see The Amazing Spiderman in 3-D. It was actually really really good! I kind of liked it better than the Tobey Maguire version. I mean, I still like that one, but I thought this guy made a better spiderman, and I like Emma Stone way better than Kirsten Dunst. I'm not much of a Kirsten Dunst fan. Anyway, it was fun and action-packed and the 3-D was great for that movie! You really need to see it in 3-D if you go.... annnd the bonus of going to the movie was that when we were driving across town we could see fireworks going off from a bunch of different places! So really, we still got to see fireworks even if we went to a movie :)
Hope your 4th was great!
