This dress spoke to me. Yes, it's true. I took it out of the box when it came in and it said, "Hanna.... buy me. I will be the perfect birthday dress." I clearly listened. Duh. How could I not buy this dress?? From the high neck to the floral print to the fitted waist and full skirt, it had HANNA written allll over it. This, my friends, is my favorite shape in a dress, and it should be one of yours, too. No matter your body shape, be it pear, full, boyish, petite, tall, short, whatever, the fit-n-flare dress can always be found in the right proportions for you and look stunning. It's great for showing off a waist or creating a waist, especially when paired with a belt of a medium width (it works with all shapes and sizes). The full-skirt silhouette glides over hips, and the most flattering length is one that hits a little above your knee, optimizing the slimming effect and giving you legs for days (especially when paired with a nude pump). My version is a bright floral, and I chose to keep it young and fresh by mixing it with a leopard belt and clutch (which serve as neutrals... yes, animal print is a neutral) and studded nude pumps instead of something more basic. Whatever color or print you decide, a fit-n-flare dress is something I am sure you'll be reaching for over and over again, whether it's for work, a wedding, or a birthday dress :)
